The Plumbing Inspection Division issues plumbing permits and performs associated inspections. With the exception of minor repair work required for proper maintenance of an existing installation (i.e., changing washers, etc.) or removal of stoppages (provided such removal does not entail dismantling the existing installation), all plumbing work done in the City of West Allis must be performed under permit. Only a Master Plumber who is licensed by the State of Wisconsin may obtain a plumbing permit.
