Neighborhood Complaints and Dispute ResolutionDispute resolution service is sponsored by the West Allis Mediation Center and is a service for people who live in West Allis. There is no charge for the service. Mediation services offers the opportunity for people to find their own solutions with the aid of a trained mediator. The mediator is not an advocate or a judge; the mediator is a trained impartial facilitator who assists parties in reaching their own agreements. Mediation can help resolve neighbor or neighborhood disputes such as boundary disputes, noise complaints or barking dogs. The mediation process is efficient. Mediation can usually be scheduled within two weeks. The process is confidential. Mediation takes place in a private, neutral setting. The mediator and the involved parties are the only ones who attend. It is also convenient. Mediation can be arranged at a time acceptable to all parties. To get the dispute resolution process started, contact the West Allis Mediation Center. |
