The City of West Allis Clerk's Office coordinates elections for all City of West Allis elected officials: the Mayor, ten Alderpersons (two from each of five districts), City Attorney, and Municipal Judge. The municipal officials are elected to four-year terms.

Polling Places

Each registered voter has a designated polling place as determined by aldermanic district and ward. See the Property Search application or call the City Clerk's office to find out where to vote.

Poll hours are 7:00 am to 8:00 pm on Election Day.

Spring Primary

The nonpartisan primary held the 3rd Tuesday in February to nominate nonpartisan candidates to be voted for at the spring election.

Spring Election

The election held on the first Tuesday in April to elect judicial, educational and municipal officers and nonpartisan county officers and to express preferences for the person to be the presidential candidate for each party in a year in which electors for president and vice president are to be elected.

Fall Partisan Primary

The primary held the 2nd Tuesday in August to nominate candidates to be voted for at the general election, and to determine which candidates for state offices other than district attorney may participate in the Wisconsin election campaign fund.

General Election

The election held in even-numbered years on the Tuesday after the first Monday in November to elect United States senators, representatives in congress, presidential electors, state senators, representatives to the assembly, district attorneys, state officers other than the state superintendent and judicial officers, and county officers other than supervisors and county executives.
