January
Toddler story times for 2 year olds are on Wednesdays, January 4 through January 25 at 9:30 – 10:00 a.m. OR 10:15-10:45 a.m. These sessions are 20 minutes with an additional 10 minutes of playtime with age appropriate toys. The adult caretaker will attend the story time.
Afternoon story times for Ages 3, 4, and 5 years are on Mondays, January 9 through January 30 at 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. A second session will be held on Tuesdays, January 10 through January 31 at 1:00 to 1:45 p.m. These sessions will also include a craft. The adult who brings the child may choose to attend or not, but must remain in the library during the session.
Story times for 4, 5, & 6-year olds (who are not enrolled in K5) are on Tuesdays, January 10 through January 31 at 6:30 to 7:15 p.m. These sessions will also include a craft. The adult who brings the child may choose to attend or not, but must remain in the library during the session.
Family Craft Day is Sunday, January 29. Craft projects and supplies will be available from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. in the children’s department.
February
Lapsit story times for ages 9 months through 23 months will be held on Mondays, February 6, 13, and 20 at 9:30 a.m. These sessions are 20 minutes with an additional 10 minutes of playtime with age appropriate toys. The adult caretaker will attend the story time.
Happy Endings story times for ages 9 months through 3 years are on Tuesdays, February 7 through February 28 at 6:30 to 7:00 p.m. Children under age 3 must be accompanied by an adult caretaker.
Morning story times for Ages 3, 4, and 5 years are on Wednesdays, February 8 through February 29. There are two sessions to choose from 9:30-10:00 a.m. or 10:15-10:45 a.m. The adult who brings the child may choose to attend or not attend the 30-minute story time but must remain in the library during the session. These sessions usually include a brief video.

A Movie Afternoon for all ages will be held on a no-school Friday, March 2 at 1:30 p.m. There will be several short videos based on popular children’s books. Popcorn will be served.
All Story Times at the West Allis Public Library are free to Milwaukee County residents. Registrations are accepted the month before each story time session. You may register in person at the Children’s information desk or by calling 302-8502.
