There is always a "Person on Watch" from the Electrical Division in order to assure that all emergency situations can be taken care of quickly and safely during off-work hours. The Electrical Division also maintains, repairs and installs street light poles and lamps throughout the City. During the road construction season, the Electrical Division lays duct lines under new pavement, installs cable, drills and pours pole bases, sets new poles and makes the final splices to light the lamp fixtures. The Electrical Division performs electrical repairs, construction and maintenance at all City buildings and properties including the Library, Police and Fire Stations, Senior Housing units, Senior Center, Municipal Market, water pumping stations, parking meters, school parking lots, playgrounds and ball fields.
